Beloved son of the late Nettie and Jim Begbie, entered into rest on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Peterborough. Best friend and soul mate of Mary Ruth (Shorten). Proud and devoted father of Amanda (Gavin Murugan) of Turks and Caicos, and Sarah (Brian Gillespie) of Toronto; and grandfather to Madison Murugan. Dear brother of Sybil Bartlett and Zoe Hunter (Roy), both of Ottawa. Michael served as a United Church Minister in congregations in Saskatchewan, Cannington, Whitby, Lindsay and Peterborough. The family will receive friends at ST. ANDREW’S UNITED CHURCH, 441 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Michael, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
