Janet Paige Hill

Hill, Janet Paige (June 7, 1968-October 1, 2019)

Passed away peacefully after a brief but very valiant battle with cancer at the young age of 51. Janet is the beloved and only daughter of William (Bill) and Eileen Hill of Peterborough. She is the much-loved sister of Stephen and his wife Carol of Castlegar, BC and Bill and Maureen Hill of Peterborough. Janet was the proud and very devoted aunt to Molly and Gregory Hill (BC) and Logan, Lawson and Sawyer Hill (Peterborough) and her gregarious spirit will live amongst them all. Janet’s smile lit up a room and her laughter could be heard from far away. She loved downhill skiing, water skiing, cottaging, and spending time with those she loved. On one of Janet’s final days she told her parents that “you were my whole life.” Janet, you were our whole life and we are so blessed to have had you in our lives. You were so kind and thankful to everyone who helped you in your last few months and you are an inspiration to us all. The family would like to thank Dr. Chandoke, Dr. Randhawa, Dr. Beamish and Amanda who was such a kind and caring Nurse Case Practitioner. We are so very grateful for the compassionate ER nurses, Amanda and Judy on B6 and Bonnie, Sherri, Linda, Katie, Shelby and Heather in Palliative care. The cancer home nurses were so very helpful and showed such dedication to Janet and her recovery. You are all true angels. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at Ashburnham Funeral Home-840 Armour Road in Peterborough on Saturday October 5th at 2pm with visitation from 12 until service time at 2 pm.
