Jayne Elizabeth Collins Jardine

Passed away with her family by her side at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 72. Jayne was the loving wife of Paul B. Jardine. Daughter of the late Lambert and Mildred Collins of Peterborough. Devoted and Cherished mother to Robert Jardine and Paul J. Jardine. Loving Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and Great-grandmother of 8 great-grandchildren. Jayne is survived by her cherished sister, Anne Ronco (née Collins). Aunt Jayne will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Jayne will be dearly missed by all of her friends.

A local nurse, Jayne held tight to her faith for her whole life, and the belief that we should always be helping others; an avid billiards player, lover of music and culture from the 1960's and 1970's, and devoted friend to all who knew her, Jayne's incredible spirit and zest for life were contagious. For those that did know her, you know the force of nature this amazing woman was!

To everyone who enquired about Jayne through her stay in hospital, who supported and prayed for her and to those that always had loving words and memories of Jayne to share, her family are forever grateful for your kindness and love.

Aquamation has taken place.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 1:30 pm at Cathedral of St. Peter's-in-Chains, 411 Reid Street, Peterborough.

A lifelong donor to animal causes, Jayne would appreciate any donations be submitted in her name to the Peterborough Humane Society.
