Peacefully passed on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Extendicare Peterborough. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Hawthorne. Raised in Bobcaygeon, she was a former employee of KMART. Dear mother of Darrell Hawthorne, Brenda Hawthorne, Bryan Hawthorne and his wife Natalie. Grandmother of Sydney, Myranda and Robyn Hawthorne, sister-in-law of Ken Hawthorne (d. Nancy), Margaret Brown (Bob) and the late Roy, Ruth (d. Vic) and Bill (d. Ada). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare Peterborough for the care and compassion they showed Jean over the past two years. If you wish, donations to the Peterborough Family Resident Council (without receipt) at Extendicare Peterborough or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Monday, June 19th from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm.
