Born on August 8th, 1935 passed away peacefully at PRHC on Saturday, August 24th, 2024. Joan and Jack's love was apparent to everyone who knew them. They were happily married for 71 years. Joan was the dear Mother to Linda Green (Jim) and Marilyn Drummond (Ron). She was a very devoted Grandma to Marc, Correna Hale (Steve), Carrie, Julie (Scott), and Cathy (Mike). A Great-Grandma to Yanna, Aaron, Lauren, Eva, Ethan, Jess, and Rainn, and a Great-Great-Grandma to Evalyn. Caring eldest sister to Doreen (Percy) Lance, Marion (Richard) Ellis, and Carolyn (Alan) Kay. Survived by Uncle Hal (Jean) Bilz and Aunt Ella (Jim) Raicot. Remember fondly by her many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-Law to the predeceased: Vince (Ruth), Elliott, Keith (Jean) Elliott. Leola (Lindsay) Tetlock, Alice (Gerald) Camelon, Verna (Jimmy) Gorra.
Joan used her incredible talents to bless her friends and family. She was an excellent seamstress and master at the art of crochet. Joan started a new project every year, crafting gifts of love for her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Those beautiful gifts are treasured heirlooms.
Joan and Jack spent many summers at their trailer at Palmerston Lake. They spent their winters on long drives to Florida.
Joan's family is deeply grateful for the support and kindness of friends and neighbors during this difficult time. Special thanks to Mike, Rob, and those who brought their sweet treats. We also want to thank PSW Laura; your loving care and compassion didn't go unnoticed. Joan will be sorely missed by Jack, Linda, and Marilyn, as well as her family and friends.
A cremation has already occurred, and a private family service will follow. Love you forever
