Passed away early in the morning of February 27, 2014 at her home in Princess Gardens, Peterborough, Ontario in her 88th year. Loving wife of Richard “Dick’ for over 60 years, Joan was the proud mother of Timothy and wife Julia, Peter and wife Carol, Ann and Rosa her dog, and the late William Richard. She will be missed by her grandchildren Andrew and fiancée Julia, Steven and wife Andra, Jeffrey, Michael and Elizabeth. Her volunteer offerings included several years delivering Meals on Wheels, and reading text books to tapes for use by blind university students. A service to celebrate her life will be held at ST. BARNABAS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1040 Hilliard St, Peterborough on Friday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at the church from 10:30 a.m. Donations to St. Barnabas Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family; as would donations to your favourite charity.
