John David Coburn

COBURN, John David – Passed away suddenly at Mississauga Trillium Hospital, on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. John of Georgetown, formerly of Peterborough, was 53 years of age.

Beloved husband of Sharon Monk for nine years. Loving father of Kayla & Kieran Coburn and Kelly Malone. Dear son of Marilyn MacDonald (Ron Wagstaff) and Don Coburn (Molly Beaumont). Much loved brother of Jason (Lorie Cardinal). Dear uncle of Jacob, Fletcher and Megan. John will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.

John was proud of his work as Financial Advisor with Primerica. He enjoyed sitting down with people at their kitchen table and helping them change their lives.A long-time and successful football coach, John coached the Brampton Bulldogs and various other teams. He played football for Westwood High School in Mississauga. John enjoyed hockey and was a fan of Nascar, but especially loved taking long walks with Sharon and spending time with her and his dogs, “Dallas” and “Hershey”.

A Memorial Reception will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 2-4 pm. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made at ashburnhamfuneral.ca.
