John Richard Powell

Peacefully at the P.R.H.C. Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. John, late of Peterborough and formerly of Toronto, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Georgena (nee: Parker) for 66 years. Dear father of Debra (Graham) Willis, Jeffrey, Dale, Gregory, and Anthony (Kimberley). Loving grandfather of Teela-Ann, Sarah, John, Andrew (Shawn), Jamie, and Madeline. Great-grandfather of Serenity. Brother of the late Irene (Earl) Stanfield, and George (surviving spouse Patricia). John will be remembered by many other relatives and friends for this love of stock cars and his travelling to Michigan, the CNE, and Pine Crest to watch the races. John worked as a mechanic for Canada Building Materials and retired from Dufferin Construction. Aquamation has taken place.
