Judith Audrey Burton (nee Southorn) gained her angel wings on September 18, 2021, after a long fight with Alzheimer’s. She left us peacefully at her residence in Peterborough, Ontario, at the age of 70 years.
Judy’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
Judy was born March 13,1951 to Lloyd and Audrey Southorn in Weston, Ontario. She married John Burton June 13, 1969; this year would mark their 52nd anniversary. Judy was a devoted and loving mother to her 3 children John, Tammy, and Michael. Judy spent many years in the Service Industry at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, antiques, musicals, singing and spending time with her family. One of Judy’s passions was spending endless hours browsing local antique markets, she always came home with a treasure.
She will be forever missed; survived by her husband John Burton, three children John (Connie) Burton, Tammy (Kevin) Dixon, Michael Burton, seven grandchildren Blake, Braiden, Keegan, Mackenzie, Parker, Kayleigh, Brendon, one great grandchild Mason, five siblings Donna (Don) Fieghen, Steve Southorn (Valerie Wright), Ron (Janice) Southorn, Dennis (Shelagh) Southorn, and Thelma Flynn (Marc Moreau)
