October 8th, 1946 – June 30th, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karl Magyari on June 30th, 2025, at the age of 78.
Karl was born in Kanizsa, Yugoslavia, on October 8th, 1946, the son of Istvan Magyari and Rosalia Magyari Csikos. He is survived by his beloved sister, Erzsebet Losonc (late Imre Losonc), and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Susie Clarke (Aaron Clarke) and Steve Magyari; his cherished grandchildren, Easton, Jordyn, Olivia, Christian, Bradley, and Benjamin; as well as by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends.
Karl wore many hats throughout his life, including that of a proud business owner and trusted driving instructor. He built strong connections with those he worked with and taught, always bringing patience, humour, and a kind heart to everything he did.
In retirement, Karl returned to one of his greatest passions: ballroom dancing. He found true joy in his weekly outings with close friends, dancing with grace, laughter, and a spark that never faded.
In his final days, Karl was lovingly surrounded by his children, sharing memories and tender moments that reflected a lifetime of love. Susie, Steve, and Aaron would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Lakefield Extendicare, whose care and kindness meant so much during his final chapter.
The family will be holding a private celebration of his life, where his children and grandchildren will gather to honour the beautiful man he was and the legacy of love, strength, and quiet humour he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to light a candle, dance with someone you love, or consider donating to your local humane society in honour of Karl’s deep affection for cats and animals.
His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. We imagine him now, dancing freely among the stars, and we will keep dancing here too, with love in our hearts and his memory in every step.
