It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Foster at Kingston General Hospital on January 19, 2017 in his 84th year. Keith was born in Cranbrook, BC and spent his entire youth in British Columbia where he developed his love of mountains, lakes and trees. His entire 42 year career with the Canadian Pacific Railway took him across Canada from BC to Manitoba, Western Ontario and, finally, Montreal. In fact, it was on a train in 1957 that Keith met his first wife, the late Josey Foster (nee Moroziuk). After his retirement, Keith moved to Peterborough in 1996 and became active in the community as a member of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church. In addition, Keith loved to read, garden, curl and golf. He also loved to dance and sing in choirs; it was during dance lessons in 2006 that Keith met his current wife, Luz Naron. Keith and Luz were married in 2008 and remained inseparable, travelling to far away places while remaining active members of the church community and the Knights of Columbus. Keith is survived by his sister, Arlene Doyharcabal (nee Foster), daughter, Louise and her husband, Chris Ludwig, their children Julia and Eric, and his son, Steven and his wife, Sherry, and their children Sommer and Spencer. He is predeceased by his parents, E. Geoff and Ivy Foster. We would like to thank the staff of the I.C.U. at Kingston General Hospital for their excellent care, his friends at St. Alphonsus Church and the Filipino Community for their prayers and support. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (prayers at 7:00 p.m.) at COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1066 Western Avenue. If you wish, donations in memory of Keith may be made to St. Vincent de Paul. Online condolences may be made at www.comstockkaye.com.
