Kenneth Nelson Godfrey

GODFREY, Kenneth Nelson (Retired from General Electric) - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on March 2, 2010 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Helen (nee:Long) for 63 years. Loving father of Brenda Messervey ( Roger), David (Judy), Paul, Stephen, Michelle, Michael (Cheryl), Sherri Runnalls (Rick) and Joel (Shelley). Proud Grandfather of Tyson, Sarah, Nathan, Carey, Christina, Ryan, Meghan, Eli, Gabe, Kelsey, Brandon, Keenan, Heleyna and Jacob. Great Grandfather of Paige, Zachary, Bradyn, Riley, Tristen, Keenan, Eion, Kaiya and Bella. Predeceased by his parents Florence and John Godfrey, and his sisters Dorothy McLean (survived by Alex)) and Betty-Lou Way (the late Bob). Ken was a longtime member of Knox United Church and was actively involved in the Scouting movement. Memorial Visitation will be held at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
