

Nolan, Kenneth (Ken) Edward – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in his 92nd year at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Beloved husband and best friend of Frances Jean Nolan (Huston). Devoted and cherished father to Ray (Valorie) of Whitby, Ron (Madonna) and Patti Nolan of Peterborough. Loving grandfather to Nicole (Ron Deegan), Jeanette (Mark Monkman), Katie (Christian Rawson), Hayley (Shawn Hartwick), Rhonda Nolan, Emily Nolan (Keith Calderwood ), Marty O’Dette & Greg O’Dette (Christine). Loving great grandfather to Jacob Rawson, Annabel Hartwick, Griffin Hartwick, Nickolas Fournier, Dylan Rawson, Ciara O’Dette, Blake O’Dette, Cydney O’Dette and Cassius Monkman-Nolan. Sadly missed by his pet-buddy, Bailey. Also remembered by sister in laws Helen Robson(the late Sandy Robson), Grace (Jim Millar), Kaye Nickle and the late Janie(the late Phil Zeller). Remembered and loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased son of Louise Alberta (Allems) and Albert Edward Nolan. Ken lived in Toronto, Orillia, Lindsay and later resided in Peterborough with his wife Fran, where he was Sales Manager for Prudential Life Insurance for 37 years. He was Regional Director for Life Underwriters of Ontario. Coached Church League hockey for 14 years. Ken was a Sargent in World War II at Camp Borden. Captain of Red Feather for a number of years and Former Commissionaire of Peterborough. Friends will be received at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, 1140 St. Paul’s Street on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. .
