

Embraced by God’s loving arms, Leonard was peacefully called
home, Friday, august 24th at Peterborough Regional Health
Centre, in his 94th year. Cherished loving Father of Catherine
(Pierre Guibord) of Embrun, Ontario, stepson Dennis of
Peterborough. Best friend to his furry buddy “Ginger”. Loving
“Poppa” to Jennifer (Joel); Jason of Peterborough. Grandpa to
Michael Guibord (Jennifer) of Kanata. Great Grandpa to Ruby,
Caitlyn and Isabelle. Brother of Stanley (Ruth) of Pembroke;
Sister Beatrice Hill of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his wife
Elizabeth (nee Witt) 1997 and cherished son Kevin (2010);
brothers David, Gordon and Harvey; sisters Ethel and Violet
all of Pembroke. Son of the late Edward and Louise Crigger
(nee Walters). He will be missed by his many friends at
Rubidge Retirement Residence. Special thanks to Melissa,
Sandra, Andres/Joanne, Jennifer and Anita on B3 for their
exceptional care. Leonard was born and raised in the Ottawa
Valley, working on the family farm before moving to Sudbury to
work at the Copper Cliff mines. Later on he moved to
Peterborough where he raised a family. He spent many years
working as a class A Mechanic prior to joining the General
Electric until his retirement in 1980. Len’s passion in life was
spending time with his grandchildren, tending to his gardens to
benefit the Mission, and attending Bluegrass Events. Friends
are invited to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL
CHAPEL’ 539 George Street N., on Tuesday August 28 and
Wednesday August 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, August
30th at 11:00 a.m. Reverend John Sloan officiating. Interment
Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In his memory, Leonard wishes
his donations to be given to the “Peterborough Humane Society”
or your local animal shelter.
