As I think about the wonderful life of Aunt Leverne, I smile. As a young girl I was always so excited to be in her presence. She made each and every person feel special and loved. She welcomed all with the most sincere openness and a contagious laugh that started as a roar. She was a role model for me as a young girl and woman about how to enjoy life and family with love, joy and laughter. A life so well lived. She will be missed.

She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, my father’s sister and one of my favourite Aunts. My Aunt Leverne was the Queen of Showers. She hosted wedding showers for all of her nieces. I think we all knew how to host one because at one time or another we all helped her serve. She taught me how to serve a proper cup of tea without spilling a drop. The first time I had a shower for a friend she insisted she had to attend even though she had never met her. She loved to laugh, she loved to read books, she loved to gamble a little at the Casino and she loved her cards but most of all she loved her family. She was the career woman of her generation. She taught us that we could do anything. She bragged about us and loved us all. How blessed were we to have her rooting for us always. Everyone was always welcome at her house. Aunt Leverne I will never forget you. What an impact you had on my life 💕 John, Mary, Mandy and Katie I send you my deepest condolences at this difficult time.
