Madeleine Dorothy Washburn Bedore

April 22nd, 1926 – August 15th, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Madeleine Bedore in her 99th year. Madeleine was predeceased by her dear husband, Eric, her son, Terry and her beloved friend, Earle Yorke. Madeleine is survived by her son, Gary Bedore (Sylvia) and daughter, Susan Adam (Steven).

Madeleine loved and enjoyed her many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren. Madeleine spent most of her working life in Retail shops in Peterborough. She volunteered for more than 25 years with the Auxiliary at Fairhaven LTC. Madeleine was a proud member of Mark Street United Church.

At her request there will be a private family interment following cremation. Please join the family at a reception at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 30th. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the staff at Fairhaven LTC and especially to those on R2 for their compassion and support.
