Marie Helene Theriault Calderone

Marie passed away peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor on Monday June 23, 2025, in her 85th year. Loving wife of our father, the late Walter Douglas. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Deborah (Kirk), Linda (Tim), Steven (Nikki) and Michael (Jackie). Proud Gramma and Great Gramma to 21 grandchildren in all.

Predeceased by her parents, Clara Laura Hebert and Joseph Edward Theriault. Affectionately loved by her siblings, Rose (predeceased), Jeanne, Leona (Larry), Eileen, Joseph, Dora (predeceased) and step siblings, Laura, Peter, Mona, and Nicky. She will be remembered by countless life-long friends and neighbors.

Diamond Lil was well known in the Havelock community for her generosity. She often shared her famous banana bread, harvest loaf, and butter tarts with the local businesses in appreciation of their service. Marie was also known for her endless love of crafts.

The family would like to thank the caring staff with Havelock Guardian Pharmacy, VON, Nightingale, Campbellford Memorial Hospital, PRHC, and Pleasant Meadow Manor.

On Wednesday July 9, 2025, at 11 a.m., family and friends are welcome to share in a short service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery – County Road 8, Douro, followed by a light lunch at St. Joseph’s Hall.
