Peacefully passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Applewood Retirement Residence at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Scott Robinson. Loving mother of Randy Hart (Siddeeqah Beneby - Hart) and step-mother of Melanie Robinson and Melissa Lunn (Jason). Proud grandmother of Roman, Joel, Hailey, Devin, Brendan, Talia, Calla, Tovah and Asher. Dear sister of Karen Kear (Claude Jodoin), and David Kear (Linda Mansillo). Sadly missed by her niece Alexa and nephews Chris and Zak her step-sister Laurel Robinson-Lachance (Marcel) and by many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her mother Joy and step-father Donald Kear.
A vivacious and social butterfly, Marilyn could make friends anywhere. She enjoyed romantic movies, watching her favourite soap operas, reading People magazine, sharing a good joke, and talking to new people. Her favourite activity was spending time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn’s family wish to thank Applewood Retirement Residence staff for their kindness. In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In memory of Marilyn and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (Peterborough Chapter) would be greatly appreciated by her family.
