Mark Woodrow Anderson

Mark Anderson, 57, passed away suddenly on January 6th, 2025 in Kingston General Hospital surrounded by family. Born on August 18th, 1967, Mark touched the lives of many people. Born in Peterborough, Mark lived in the town he loved his whole life. A dedicated and committed Personal Support Worker for over 30 years, Mark worked and cared for members of his community who were most in need. Many of whom will remember him fondly as he befriended all and approached the work with kindness and love. Mark was an active member of the church, regularly attending Gilmour Baptist in Selwyn (his Childhood church) and Northview United in Peterborough. In each of these places Mark found second families and grew his faith. Mark is loved and survived by his Mom and Dad: Ray and Pat Anderson, his two brothers and their wives: Tim and Rebecca and Scott and Kristina, his nieces and nephews: Brad, Taylor, Georgia and Jake. Along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Right now we think of Mark through tears but after the passage of time we will remember Mark with smiles, privileged to have known him and thankful that he was part of our lives. Mark will be deeply missed. Services to remember Mark will be held on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Rd, Peterborough, ON K9H 2A2 at 2:00pm with visitation from 1:00pm.
