Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with family and friends by his side on December 6, 2024 at the age of 65. Loving father of Heidi (Dale). Dearest friend of Marija. Predeceased by his parents Ron and Betty and siblings Terry and Randy. Remembered by his ex-wife Eileen his aunts, uncles, cousins and his nephew Brandon. He will be sadly missed by many friends and friends that are more like family in Haliburton and Toronto.
Marty "Martin" was born, raised, grew up and lived most his life in Haliburton. Marty owned and operated Hyland Taxi for many years and will be remembered by his drivers past and present and by many of his customers.
Marty loved Haliburton and was proud of Bernstein's a family business started by his grandmother in 1923. He looked after Bernstein's General Store and would help anyone out when he could.
A Celebration of Marty’s Life will take place in Haliburton in the new year. Date to be announced.
