Mary Muise Carruthers

Of Hastings Ontario formerly from New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

It is with great sadness we announce Mary's passing after a battle with cancer. Born in 1941 one of 13 children to the late Hubert and Beatrice (Boudreau) Muise.

Mary was well liked by everyone and enjoyed sports. She was very good at playing darts, baseball, basketball, and horse shoes.

Leaving to mourn is her loving husband Arthur, her sisters Martha (Vince) MacCormick, Anna Marie (Melvin) Cormier, brother Charles Muise, and brother-in-law Vern Sim, many nieces and nephews, 36 to be exact. Special mention to Art's daughter Brenda, husband Joe, and their daughter Emily. Mary had many friends but one that stands out the most is Bev Ryan of Alliston, Ontario.

Special thanks to Laurie Deir for being so dedicated to helping Mary with all of her needs. We would also want to thank Paliative Care and Hospice in Peterborough and Dr. Beamish for the very good care given to Mary.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Willie John, Hubert, Bernard, and sisters Cecile, Loretta, Lillian, Evelyn, and Kay.

Aquamation has taken place.

There will be arrangements to have a service in Cape Breton N.S. at a later date.
