Mary "Doreen" Woodgate

Peacefully passed away on August 1, 2024 at St. Joseph’s at Fleming in her 93rd year. Beloved wife & dear friend of the late Kenneth Woodgate for 57 years. Loving mother of Joseph (Joe) and his wife Elsie Ensing and Joanne and her husband David Pineau. A proud grandmother to Claire & Simon Woodgate and Alexandre Pineau. Pre-deceased by her parents, Cornelius (Neil) Driscoll and Marie Alice (nee Leroux). Pre-deceased by her dear siblings, sister, Pauline Kylie (late Paul) and brothers, Charles (Nell), James (late Theresa, late Betty) and Gerald (late Delores) Driscoll. Dear sister-in-law of late Marie Bennett (Gerald), late Robert, Jerry (Debbie) and Jack (late Paula) Woodgate. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

After graduating from Business College, Doreen worked at Trent Canal (Trent Severn Waterway). Subsequently she worked at Sears Canada, in the Credit Department. Family was the cornerstone of Doreen’s life. She was the heart and soul of her home & family. As a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandma, Doreen treasured her family and embraced every moment, showing a genuine interest in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Funeral Memorial Mass will be held on Monday August 19, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains, 411 Reid St., followed by reception at the Knight of Columbus Hall.
