

Born on March 30, 1947 in Sweetsburg Quebec, Maureen was known for being an artist in multiple mediums, an avid volunteer and coordinator for a variety of causes. A majority of her career was spent at Hook Up Inc., a company she co-founded with her husband. followed by a career in insurance and government in her adopted home of Grand Cayman. There she further pursued her passion for tennis and golf. Maureen dedicated much of her life to family, art, her community and her beloved dog Mollie.
Maureen is survived by her daughters Felicia and Rachel Neil, as well as her grandchildren Luke and Adia Newbigging. She is predeceased by her husband of 25 years and high school sweetheart Fulton Munroe Neil, who passed in 2001.
A celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026 at Comstock Kaye funeral home in Peterborough Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer society of Canada or the local Peterborough Humane Society.
