Patricia Ann Wilson Varga

A life lived with the fullest of joy but ended by cancer. Pat age 75, loving wife to Emil for 53 years, deceased on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at P.R.H.C. Wonderful mother to three, Julie Tuer ( Don), Lesley Varga (David), Warren Varga (Lesley). Cherished sister to Dianne Bonisteel (Ben), sister in law to Kathy Ruttan (Ken) and the late Barb Pearce (Larry). Adored grandmother of Alison and Kristen Tuer, Marcus and Maxwell Tanko, Olivia, Ava and Téa Varga. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Of her many remembered accomplishments: senior draftsperson at Canadian General Electric, bookkeeper at Howell Fleming Law Firm, long standing Donwood United Church contributor, amazing organizer of all social events, chief cook and keeper of all the best recipes, plant wrangler extraordinaire, seasoned world traveler, the one and only Bahama Mama, awesome hostess for bridge and ladies groups, and cheerleader to all of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. But best of all, Pat was a woman that loved and was loved by all she met on her life’s path.

Special thanks go to those that cared for Pat along the way, Peterborough I.N.R. Clinic, Oncology Cancer Clinic at PRHC, Palliative Care Unit, Dr Ragaz for his final days of care, Dr Spink for his years of kindness, Dr Harlieb and the team at the pacemaker clinic. Also many thanks to Pat’s friends that supported her: Gladys, Martha, Marion, Donna, and Kathryn among many that helped.

Private family cremation and internment will be at Rosemount Cemetery. A Celebration Service for Pat will be on Saturday May 4th @ 1:00 p.m. at Donwood United Church, officiating Reverend Dick Prince. Memorial Donations to Donwood United Church Memorial Fund or alternatively P.R.H.C. Palliative Care Unit that cared for Pat in her final days.
