I was very sorry to hear about Pat's passing. He was an icon in the Ministry during the time I was privileged to work with him in Central Region during the 70's and 80's and his wit, intelligence and compassion will be missed by all.

Pat had a lasting influence on so many individuals working in the natural resources field, especially within the enforcement family. He had a knack for instructing because of his personality, passion for the job, and for his ability to provide real life experiences. Rest in peace Pat, and my sympathies to Pat's family and friends.

I had just heard the news this morning. My condolences and deepest sympathy to you Sharon and family. Pat was an inspiration for all us young CO's. I will never forget his talk at Dorset about chasing night hunters " while in hot pursuit, we came to the corner which both of us forgot about the ongoing construction.
There are pieces of that dodge still landing as I speak!" When I was posted to Nipigon, the Paddy Hogan stories were still ongoing after his long departure. A "client" was at the front desk giving the clerk undeserved treatment. When staff finally gathered, Pat was toe to toe in the parking lot explaining politely the reason for what may occur next. He was a great man and embodied the term "smiling Irish eyes". He will be missed, but never forgotten for his support to many you may never know about.

Dear Sharon, Jennifer & Tim ... My thoughts are with you and your entire family.

I'm one of many, as Patty called us, "Parks Guys" who called Pat a constant friend.

Thank you for sharing Pat with all of us ...
