GOEMANS, Paul Theodore ~ Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 49, surrounded by many friends and caregivers. Paul, affectionately known to friends as “Ted”, “Bubba” or “Gomie”, was the first of three angels to enter the Highwood and Brealey programs through Stewart Homes 40 years ago. He was loved and cared for by many and created lasting friendships and community connections. Paul loved the Muppets, being surrounded by people, and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by his peers, friends and caregivers; although we find peace in that he has been eternally reunited with his 2 other angels, whom he loved dearly. Thank you to the many caregivers and connected community members for embracing and loving Paul. A service will be held for Paul on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 10:00am at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. Reception to follow. Interment at Highland Park, Peterborough. In Paul’s memory, a donation to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation Canada would be appreciated.
