August 20, 1971 – January 7, 2026
Paul Grogorich passed away peacefully at the age of 54. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and the many communities that were fortunate to know him.
Born with Down syndrome, Paul’s life began with great challenges. As a newborn, he was given the name Paul by a compassionate nurse. After years in hospitals and care homes, Paul found a home at the age of 14, when he joined the Kyte family.
For the next 40 years, Mary Lynn, Charlie, Misha, Daniel, Tyler, their extended family and community loved and cared for Paul, giving him a life filled with stability, music, joy, and unconditional love.
Paul was a cherished member of the Lindsay and Downeyville communities and well known in the Toronto music scene. He loved loud music, dancing, parties, Christmas, Coca-Cola, and spending time surrounded by people.
He was a treasured uncle to Arya and Ivy and brother-in-law to Claude, Jazmine, and Lisa.
His sense of humour, expressive spirit, and unmistakable joy for life left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Paul built many special relationships and gave back as much love as he received. He will be remembered for his resilience, laughter, and the happiness he brought into the world.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Downeyville Hall, 340 St. Luke’s Rd., Lindsay, ON, on March 7th from 2:00 p.m. onward.
He is already deeply missed and forever loved.
