Passed away at home on May 12, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Allison). Loving father of Anne (Dino), Ian (Victoria), Michael (Kelly Anne) and David (Elizabeth). Proud grandfather of Connor (Ashley), Owen (Veronique), Bronwyn (Eric), Madeline (Bruno), Hugh, Margaret, Henry (Jessica) and Peter. Predeceased by his parents John and Ella Thompson and sister Anne Kilburn.
Peter graduated from Queen’s University in 1950 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for many years as the Manager of Engineering at Canadian General Electric. He was an avid bridge player and golfer and long-time member at Kawartha Golf and Country Club. He played bassoon in the Peterborough Symphony for many years and sat on the board at St. Joseph’s at Fleming at its inception.
Our family will celebrate Dad’s life at a later time. If so desired, donations may be made to St Josephs at Fleming, Kawartha Land Trust, or the Peterborough Humane Society.
