

At Fairhaven Home in Peterborough on Sunday, April 14, 2013 just two weeks short of her 91st birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Dick Bringeman (July 4, 1977). Rhea worked when she was younger with her father as his assistant; he was a lighthouse keeper. During the war, she was a communications secretary in the Royal Canadian Navy, and she met her husband, who was from England. After she and Dick married they moved to Fowlers` Corners in 1948. Rhea stayed there until moving to Peterborough. Rhea was an avid gardener, naturalist, bird watcher, 4-H Club Leader and she was on the executive of the Peterborough Field Naturalists for quite some time. Dick and Rhea had no children but their extended family included Dowson, Kuyper’s families and a large number of residents in Fowlers` Corners and Peterborough. Rhea some years after Dick's death was blessed with love once again and for twenty years was partner and friend to the late Stanley Reitan. Rhea is survived by her godchild, Rhea Wardle of Suffolk, England. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2013 COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, Ontario (705) 745-4683.
