Bob Boyce passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie Boyce (née Moffatt) and the loving father of Sandra Moloney and Susan Sanders (Terry). Bob was a proud grandfather to Lindsay, Brittany, Jordyn, Kevin, Connor, and Brooke, and a cherished great-grandfather to Charlie, Cohen, Sullivan, and Harlow. He was also a dear brother to Donald (Phyllis), Ken, Gordon (Vella), and the late Russell Boyce.
A devoted family man, Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, always attending their events and celebrations. He dedicated much of his life to teaching, with a long career at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School in Peterborough, where he taught math and electricity. Outside the classroom, Bob had a passion for curling, baseball, and travel. He also took great pride in the home he built and lived in for over 50 years on the Centre Line of Smith, where he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and growing geraniums—both hobbies he passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a drop-in gathering on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
