This kind, loyal, very humorous and special man is survived by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Lorraine (nee Brasseur), daughter Andrea (John) Mulvihill, son Geoff (Anna) Davidson and two beautiful grandchildren, Eddie and Lottie Davidson. Dear brother to Peggy (Glen predeceased) McConnachie, John (Sheila), Patsy (surviving spouse Frank) Fitzgerald, Don (Jill), Mike (predeceased), Tom (Doley) and Kathy (Randy) Blondeau. Uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, coach and friend to so many.
Bob is at peace now with his beloved parents, Jean and Lawrence “Pete” Davidson and his Mother and Father in-law, Margaret and Paul Brasseur.
Throughout Bob’s personal life and professional career, he made a positive impact on everyone he met. He was incredibly proud to be a beloved coach, teammate and mentor, leading through his calming and peaceful presence, his humour, his knowledge and his deep caring and compassion for everyone around him; creating a lasting legacy of thoughtfulness, generosity, courage and kindness while making lifelong, enduring friendships.
Bob’s family was the most important part of his life, always. Along with his dedication to those he loved, Bob was also a lifelong baseball connoisseur, trivia master, photography enthusiast, fisherman, lover of travel and lifelong learner. Born and raised in East City, you could often find Bob at Riverside park, one of his favourite places on earth.
Words could never come close to describing the beautiful and enduring impact Bob made on our world.
All who knew and loved Bob are invited to join in Celebrating his Life on Saturday, February 28th, at 1pm at Ashburnham Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 840 Armour Rd. Donations can be made to The Peterborough Baseball Association or
