Also missed greatly by Peter and Katie, John and Denise, Adam and Jill and all her cousins and their families, who are all a ‘close-nit’ gang.
Roz and Jan would like to thank her unbelievable cancer team at The Lakeridge Cancer Centre: Dr. Elena Igwe, Dr. Audrey Li; nurses Paulette and Marie Anne.
Roz was born and raised in Toronto. After finishing high school (Branksome Hall), she migrated to the west to attend school in Vancouver. After finishing at UBC, a traveling expedition to South and Central America fueled her desire to make photographs and she subsequently attended and graduated from Emily Carr Institute with a degree in Photography. Her travels have always influenced her art practice and drew inspiration from the surrounding landscape where ever she was. Her work has been shown in various galleries in Toronto and Vancouver and the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Many of her pieces hang in private collections across Canada and Europe.
Roz was a no-nonsense person, and wanted no wake or fuss. The Family will be celebrating her life in Muskoka at a time to be determind. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a cancer charity of your choice, In particular, the R. S. McLaughlin Durham Region Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health, 1 Hospital Court, Oshawa, ON, L1G 2B9.
