

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on February 4, 2015 at the age of 99 years old. She was born in Cavan Twsp July 4, 1915. Predeceased by her husbands John William Winslow and John Wardin Dean. Loving mother of William Elwood Winslow of Ennismore and Step-Mother of Gail Baker and her husband Ron of Toronto. Cherished Grandmother of Amanda, Sherri and Andrea. Predeceased by her brothers John and Harold (Muriel) Hooton. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Muriel graduate of Fairmount Public School, PCVS Secondary, Peterborough Business College, worked for a few years at Quaker Oats Company, was employed 26 years at Golumbia, Stow, Brown C.A.’s. She was adherent to St. Barnabas Church since it opened and helped in many capacities. She recently installed a stain glass window to the church. She was also Secretary-Treasurer of the Hillmar Apartment Building for 15 years. She was a founding member of the Major Bennett Chapter of the I.O.D.E. Visitation will take place at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME, 356 Rubidge Street, on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the ST. BARNABAS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1040 Hilliard Street, on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment and Reception St. John’s Ida.
