Shawn Paul Revill “Bags” Barber – a mullet loving, ‘vintage’ dresser who loved to play hockey and softball, passed away on June 9th, 2020 in his 53rd year, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family as he entered the field of dreams. Shawn graduated from Sir Sandford College in 1989 and immediately began his life-long career with Promat Engineering. He made a family working with Dave Lewis. Shawn has the ability to make life long relationships with everyone he meets. Shawn loved to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed Friday nights – lived for them. Whether it was ball, hockey, darts or a party, he wouldn’t miss it. He loved camping, and good cooking. He was blessed with a wife who could cook like no other. Shawn was a goofy, fun Dad that made his time with his kids count. They loved his advice and his work hard, play hard, love hard, all in style. Shawn was an easy guy to get along with. He enjoyed life. He was thankful to have his family around him and his friends by his side. Shawn has had an amazingly full, but short life. Many memories were made and he didn’t miss a thing. He was loved beyond words and cherished by many. He had the perfect love story with his wife Susan Kimberly “Kim” Barber (Collison). Cherished father of Raven (Joe Sampson) Barber, Raine (Jake) Dow, and Revill Barber all of Peterborough. A proud Grandpa-to-be. Survived by his parents, Wayne and Dianne Barber of Collingwood, sister, Jennifer (Bill) Brown of Collingwood, father-in-law and mother-in-law Clarence and Marilyn Collison, brother-in-law Sean (Lisa) Collison all of Peterborough. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and many more family members, friends and the Lolligagger family.
