Deepest Sympathies to Uncle Bill and the Walker and Panter families. Auntie Shirley was a fantastic, loving person who will be greatly missed by all.

Our Nana was truly one of the kindness and most generous people you would ever meet. She always wanted to make sure we were having a good time and knew we were special to her.
 I will always remember the neighborhood kids on Larchwood coming up to the door and asking Mrs. Walker for treats. She would have ice cream bars in the freezer and would go and get some to hand out.

 She always had a fresh $5.00 bill to give us everytime we visited and would find creative ways to give them to us as we got older and learnt to say no. 
 When I was 7 I started to have to get my teeth pulled and for the first surgery I was very nervous. She gave me a bear she always had on display and told me to use it to be brave. This bear has followed me through the years and now I get to share it with my girls when they are feeling scared.  
     I love you so much Nana and am so grateful for all the memories we have had. Until we meet again, love you always. 



 Walker Family Memories
 
Growing up Mom created a family life and home where our friends felt welcome and included like family members.   She was kind, generous and a fun-loving person.
Later in life, Mom kept candy and the neighborhood kids would knock on the door to get treats from their favorite Neighbour.
As we grew up and married, our spouses were accepted unconditionally and treated like we were.
Her Grandchildren knew a loving Nana who listened, was patient, generous (sometimes to a fault) and someone who spent time with them playing games or reading stories.
When leaving after a visit she was always stuffing $5 bills in their pockets after spoiling them rotten all weekend.
She loved to shop and buy things for others; shopping with her meant a present.
Mom was a very good athlete and played competitive software ball.  She bowled, played golf and was always ready to try new things.  In later life she tried roller blading and unfortunately broke her wrist.
Mom also like to entertain and enjoyed good times with family and friends.  Once retired Mom and Dad spent the winter in Florida; they would always meet new friends and have wonderful adventures.
Mom was beautiful, cared for her appearance and wore nice clothes.  I have vivid memories of our family all sitting in the living room waiting for Mom to get ready. 
When things went bad for any of us Mom was always there to counsel, defend and forgive.
The way Mom lived her life and treated others has set the bar for how we should live our lives.

My sister Shirley: You will be forever in my thoughts and prayers. I shall miss our phone chats, and your sweet demeanor.
Ken and I will cherish our memories of you. Thank you for being my loving sister.
