It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephanie Jane Phillips-Nobes, who left us at the age of 54 after a short battle with cancer. Surrounded by the love of her family, Stephanie peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 27th, 2025.
Stephanie was the cherished daughter of Sharon and Bill Phillips, beloved wife of Kirk Nobes, and devoted mother to Chelsea (Adam) Vorkapic, Karlie (Matt), Emma (Morgan), and Devan Nobes. She was a loving big sister to Amy (Jesse) Fletcher, and a proud and doting grandmother to Maci-Jane and Paxton. Stephanie will be deeply missed by her extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Known for her fierce loyalty and unwavering love, Stephanie was the heart and soul of her family. She dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her loved ones, always putting others first. Her passion for her children’s lives was evident in her role as their loudest and most enthusiastic fan at every sporting event. Stephanie was a "second mom" to many, always ready with a kind word, a comforting hug, or a helping hand.
A valued member of the Lakefield Legion, she spent countless hours volunteering and giving back to her community. Her generosity and spirit of service touched the lives of all who knew her.
In accordance with Stephanie’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, a cause that was close to her heart.
Stephanie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be forever loved and remembered.
