SMITH, Theresa Nora – Of Peterborough, Ontario, peacefully, in the presence of family at Princess Gardens on February 8, 2015, at the age of 89. Theresa was the beloved wife of the late John Raymond Smith. Dearly loved mother of Sheila (Vance) Drain of Tweed, Gary (Gail) of Ennismore, Mel (Wendy) of White Rock, Teresa (Paul) Sirman of Kenora, Gordon (Mary) of Burnaby, Donna of Barrie, Bill (Janice) of Peterborough, Peter of Peterborough, Rhonda (Jeff) of Pontypool, Jamie (Stephanie) of Walkerton and Pamela of Peterborough. Predeceased by young son Stanley Raymond and two infant sons. Predeceased by parents Joseph McLaren and Nora O’Brien, brothers Alex and Ed McLaren and sisters Mary Smith and Dorothy (Fraley) Kerr. Step-sister to Margaret Mary Thompson of Midland. Loving grandmother to David and Darryl, Tim, Julie, Brian and Amy, Shawn and Karley, Stephanie and Paul, Christopher and Sandra, Pamela, Donnie and Misti, Tiffany and Ben, Lindsay and Robyn, Kylie and Eric. Great-grandmother to Iva and Lila, Sydney and Kendal, Owen and Leah, Miles and Lewis, Lewis and Maxwell, Spencer, and Jackson. Theresa enjoyed the simple things in life and always had a positive attitude. She was full of enthusiasm and joy for life and family. She loved TV Bingo, a game of Scrabble, planting flowers, and being with her dog. She lived and died with grace and dignity. She was an inspiration to each of us and we are deeply saddened by her passing. Visitation will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery, Ennismore, with reception at the St. Martin’s Church Hall. As expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
