Wayne Gerald Cowley

COWLEY; Wayne Gerald ~ Died at Extendicare Peterborough on May 13, 2023 under their compassionate care, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Virginia Cowley (née Curtis), father of Reid Cowley, grandfather of Brittney Cowley and Tisha Golloher. His brother Don died 2 days prior, in their hometown of Blenheim, ON.

Wayne and Don learned farming and machines at the family farm of their parents, Wyndam and Bernice Cowley. Early in life, he joined Massey Ferguson and it was forever on his mind. Yes, he forgot things as he aged, but I [Virginia] must write this because it shows he was loving and kind and loved nature: “The way he counts the goldfinch at the feeder, the rabbit in the garden, the healthy squirrels, the gentle holding of the begonia lying on the window ledge and so much more.” Wayne will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.
