What a shock....painful news to be conveyed by the 'wonders of email'. Ironic since you were the one person that used to write some lovely letters, always speaking fondly of your friends and gushing with pride for Joanne and your grandchildren. Even more ironic that I struggle to remember events from one day to the next, but remember our last parting of ways quite vividly, although that was so many years ago. You will be sorely missed Max. Our phone conversations were few, but I will miss them and I'm saddened to know I will never receive anymore envelopes with the signature Kilroy logo on the back. There will be no more installments on your grandchildren. My heart goes out to your family and friends Max because I can only begin to appreciate the magnitude of their loss. You were a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.

"MAX"  You were one of a Kind. A true friend indeed, always there to listen & share advice. One who could always put a positive spin on things no matter how bad things were. You could always find the positive out of a negative!! You were there for me in times of Need. I'll never forget your your kindness when my Dad was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. You were there for me every step of the way! & The day he passed away You & I spent the night drinking Champagne in his remembrance & you were my shoulder & my Rock.  You introduced me to "Pembrooke" & all the hot spots , like your GrandDads cabin & Freddy's.  We had so many good times together, Memories that I will cherish forever.
You were a proud & noble man & you taught me many Good Qualities of Frienship & Life.
I am the person I am today, Thanks to you & will always be Grateful for That.  I always looked up to you as a Brother & a Friend xo xo I know your smiling down on us & recalling all the Good Times such as our trips to OktoberFest & Quebec Winter Carnival. I can still feel your HUG from the last time I saw you when I dropped you off in Peterborough after Dave Smythes wedding.  We had such a Fabulous time together at that last time together & I don't think I have laughed so hard since..I was sooo disappointed when you had to cancel your trip to PEI last year & am still waiting for you. Don't worry, the !st chance I get I'll be lighting the BonFire,& cracking a Beer in your Honor. & p.s.- I'll be sure to have that feed of Lobster waiting for you.
