JOHNSTON, Willis George "Bill"- At Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday January 19, 2010. Bill Johnston of Peterborough in his 72nd year passed away after a long battle against cancer with family by his side. Beloved husband of Gail (Rowe) for 42 years. Loving father of Connie (Stacey Carew) of Omemee and Tammy (Ryan White) of Bolton. Proud Papa of Robert and Daniel Carew. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Gladys Johnston, brother Elymer Johnston and sister's Alice Harvey, Jean Tanner and Audrey Leether. Survived by his siblings Bessie (Bill Anderson), Beatrice (Jerry Tucker), Bernice (Frank O'Brien), Floris (Jim Wilson), Jack (Doris) Johnston, Eleanor (Doug Lean), Vera (Roy McMillan) and Morley Johnston. Bill will be sadly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A private family service has been arranged through the COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough.
