Wilma Gladys Hamlet Johnston

February 22, 1927 to January 2, 2025

On January 2, 2025 at Centennial Place Long Term Care in Millbrook.

Wilma was married to her beloved Don for 62 years. Her rock. Together they had two loving daughters, (The late Donna Johnston) and Kathleen Johnston Dancey (Jim). Adoring grandchildren Andrew Smith (Mandy) and Julie Parcells (Scott MacDougall). Cherished great-grandchildren, Lailey Smith and Daxx Smith. Wilma’s beautiful family goes on. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on February 22, 1927, third daughter of Gladys Heald Hamlet and William Hamlet. Wilma has had a good life, living 97 wonderful years. A life filled with all the things that life brings… joys and challenges, happy times and sad times, laughter and tears. This beautiful soul was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. A teacher. A music lover. A seamstress. An artist. A giver of herself to many. A smart cookie… one with opinions, always backed up by her intelligence. A spitfire, always on the move, full of energy. Wilma had an inner happiness, perhaps the driving force behind her longevity. A sharing of wonderful memories of this life loving lady, over favorite foods, good music, and a few rounds of cribbage will be enjoyed by Wilma’s family in the spring.
