Abel Luna

Abel Luna, 38, of Hutto, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2017. He was a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He was a man that always strived to take care of his family. He lived his life to its fullest and he loved wholly, he was all-in, with the most faithful and thoughtful love! His sense of humor was one of his best qualities. He had the best laugh, I mean the best, and a beautiful smile. Abel was a man of strength and faith and had such a passion for family, football and the “49ers”.

The world was a better place because Abel was a part of it! He was called to heaven early Saturday morning and is now with our beautiful Joseph. I cannot express enough the love everyone had for this man. He will be missed desperately and remembered lovingly. He will forever have a place in each of us.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Luna; his children, Jacob and Emily; his parents, Joe and Rosa Luna; his mother and fathers-in-law, Janice and Winston Schroeder and Jim and Cathy Bradshaw; sister, Monica and husband, Javier Picos, brother, Joe Luna and wife Felicia; sister, Veronica and husband Marco Lozoria; brother, Gabriel Luna and wife Donna; sister, Vanessa and husband Eleazar Valle; sister-in-law, Laura and husband Blake Dabney; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. Abel was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Luna.

Visitation for Abel will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
