Ada Lou Fleming, née Hibbs, 95, passed away on November 15, 2019 at her home in Pflugerville, Texas. She lived a life dedicated to her family and the Lord. Ada appreciated the simple pleasures of life including gardening and cooking. Her happiest moments were Sunday lunches with her family, grandchildren and, most especially, great-grandchildren.
Born in Elgin, Texas on July 14, 1924, Ada graduated from Elgin High School. She married the love of her life, James Vern Fleming, on December 22, 1941, and enjoyed 73 years of beautiful marriage. Ada was foremost a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired after a long career from Austin State School where she served as house supervisor. Always a hard worker, Ada later began working for AISD, retiring after several years as lunch server for Menchaca Elementary School.
Ada was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, most recently as a member of Westside Church of Christ and formerly of Southwest Church of Christ.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Arthur Hibbs; husband, James Vern Fleming; siblings, Dempsey Hibbs, Milford Hibbs, Glen Rose Wolff, and Veda Justice; and great-grandson, Brock Fleming. Ada is survived by her son, Gary Fleming and wife Francine; grandson, James Fleming and wife Melissa Hatfield Fleming; granddaughter, Samantha Fleming Jewett and husband Robby Jewett of Michigan; grandson, Michael Raven and wife Becky Mendoza; and great-grandchildren, Jenna and Blair Fleming.
The family expresses special appreciation and thanks to Halcyon Hospice, Betty Robertson, and all family and friends for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests any donations be made to "The Cure Starts Now" in honor of Brock Fleming.

Mrs. Fleming will lie-in-state between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Westside Church of Christ in Round Rock, Texas.
Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
