Adrian was born in Round Rock, Texas to Sebastian Zamarripa, Jr. and Lillie Delgado on April 24, 1973. He grew up in a lively, loving family with four brothers and a large extended family where his cousins were his first friends.
Adrian was a dedicated systems analyst in the legal field. When diagnosed with cancer last year, he remained committed to his work and to the fight against his illness. He remained purposeful in living his life to its fullest, continuing to relish in those things that brought him joy, like spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, and passionately cheering for his favorite sports teams. He was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Cubs and NASCAR. He had a deep love for music, and was a self taught guitarist and pianist. He was determined to not take for granted the natural beauty of sunsets and the warmth of the sun. He was known to sit on the bench on his front porch and turn his face up toward the sun to soak in the balmy rays, eyes closed, arms outstretched.
Adrian will be remembered most for the love he freely and warmly gave to his family and friends. Whether it was in the form of a message of gratitude, a kind or encouraging word, a thoughtful gift – he always had a way of making you feel you mattered to him. His disarming, playful smile and endearing laughter will be greatly missed.
Adrian is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lillie Delgado, maternal grandfather, Trinidad Delgado, aunt, Janie Delgado and paternal grandparents Theodora and Sebastian Sr. Zamarripa. He is survived by his father, Sebastian Zamarripa, Jr. and stepmother, Dawn; brothers, Steve Zamarripa, Brandon Zamarripa, Michael Zamarripa, Paul Zamarripa and Luis Ayala; nephews Everest and Zaxton Zamarripa. Adrian also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Lidia Serna, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
The family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to Adrian’s earthly guardian angel, Lisa Binz. She was his rock and his comfort to the very end. We are indebted to her and her assured, loving presence particularly during Adrian’s last days.
