I only got to know "Big Al" over the last few years. I have been friends with all 3 of his Sons for over 20 years and I consider Cre Cre my brother. What I remember about this man was how welcoming he always was when I stopped by. "Come on in Kevin. You want something to drink". "What do you think about the Longhorns this year"? I really appreciated how welcome I always feel around the whole Mendoza Family. Big Al your legacy is in your 57 years of marriage and the incredible children and grandchildren you raised. Thank you for being such a great human being and blessing us with your beautiful family.

Affectionately known to all of us growing up as “Big Al”!! He will be fondly remembered as a great coach, friend, husband and man. I truly admired him for his easy going character, kindness and generosity. Even when I haven’t seen him in years he always greeted me a smile, handshake and beer. He is respected by everyone that has ever known him and will be missed by the Hall family. God has gained a great man and his works are reflected in the family he has parted with to be with our Lord. Rest In Peace “Big Al”!! Condolences and prayers to the family.

Al was a lifelong friend. We met at Zavala Elementary and went through elementary, middle, and high school together. We played sports and socialized with our families at Atlanta, Austin, and at our lake house at Lake Hartwell, Georgia. Al was a devoted son, brother, husband, nephew, cousin, and friend. I will miss him when I travel to Austin to visit my family and friends. My condolences to his wife, Rebecca, and his large family. May he Rest In Peace. His work on this earth has been successfully finished. I love you Al. You were a true friend from the day I met you until the end.
