Allison Fay Neidig of Waco, TX went home to her Heavenly Father on November 7, 2023 at the age of 28. She was born in McKinney, TX on March 13, 1995 to Alan & Erica Neidig. After a short time in Cedar Rapids, IA, she moved to Round Rock, TX in 2000 with her 3 brothers. Shortly after moving, her baby sister (& best friend) was born. She attended both Deep Wood Elementary and Chisholm Trail Middle Schools, and graduated from both Round Rock High School in 2013 and Baylor University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Social Work.
Being the middle of 5 children, she learned patience, kindness, and tolerance for others. She enjoyed so much of life, but especially family time, playing games, traveling, hiking, writing poetry, loving on her pets, and working jigsaw puzzles (starting at a very young age). Following her older brothers and followed by her younger siblings, Allison was always active and played multiple sports. She played soccer and kickball before focusing on basketball from her time in Upward Basketball through middle school and into high school. Allison loved music, especially the piano where she filled our home with joy.
While in high school Allison played the French Horn in the Dragon Band, and was a drum major her senior year. While in college, she marched in the Golden Wave Band, participated in Sing and actively attended church. One summer she served as an assistant to the Children’s Minister, and loved young children. After college she held various jobs in social work, family businesses, food services and retail.
Allison chose believer’s baptism when she was 9-years-old, rededicated her life while in college, and loved God with all her heart. She had a thirst to understand and absorb the Bible. Allison's faith was reflected in her sweet and generous spirit, and she lifted a room with her smile. Allison loved her church in Waco while attending Life Groups and volunteering with children. One of her comforting Bible verses was Romans 15:13 which talks about the God of Hope. She fought courageously through the tough years, and her strength will always be remembered. We miss her beyond words and beyond all understanding, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Allison is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roy Neidig. She is survived by her parents, her brother Matthew Neidig, wife Grace & daughter Olive of Elgin, her brother Jon Neidig, wife Amy & daughter Claire of Waco, her brother Andrew Neidig and wife Christa of College Station, and her sister Natalie Neidig of Waco. She also leaves behind her grandparents Patsy Neidig of Elgin, Cecil and Paula Wright of Austin, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and her boyfriend, Tim.
To honor Allison’s memory, we will be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Round Rock.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com for the Neidig family.
