Amy Michelle Habbit

Amy was born at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas to Albert Douglas and Lisa (Daniels) Habbit on July 18, 1986. She has one devoted brother, Marcus Justin Habbit of Austin, Texas. Amy was also the proud godmother of Jazmin Mechelle Morrison.

She attended John B. Winn Elementary, J. E. Pearce Middle School, and graduated from Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Austin, Texas on May 29, 2004. Amy graduated from The University of Texas at Austin on May 19, 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences.

Amy was baptized into Christian discipleship on November 1, 1992 by Pastor Ralph H. Daniels (maternal Grandfather) at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 Chestnut Avenue, Austin, TX 78702. She faithfully served in the Music Ministry as the drummer for several years.

On April 1, 2014 Amy began her career with the State of Texas at the Disability Determination Services as a Disability Examiner II. She transferred to the Health and Human Services Commission, Regulatory Services on September 15, 2020.

Amy was preceded in death by her father Albert Douglas Habbit and maternal Grandfather Ralph H. Daniels.

Amy leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother, Lisa S. Habbit; her beloved brother, Marcus J. Habbit (Kathleen); goddaughter, Jazmin M. Morrison; maternal grandmother, Margarine Y. Daniels; uncles: Curtis Habbit, David A. Daniels (Toni); aunts: Elnora Higgins, Donna L. Love, Frances R. Jones, Hulene Robinson, and Diane Daniels; first cousins: Ray Habbit; Tashonya Crenshaw (Shannon), Catrina Daniels, Robert Crenshaw (Tameika), Dante Hunter, Kevin Daniels, Caleb Daniels, Calvin Daniels, Daniel Jones, and Matthew Jones; devoted friends, DeMonica and Malcolm Eke; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service for Amy will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 11:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
