Angel was born on May 9, 1948, in Donna, Texas, to Reynaldo and Francisca (Castillo) Castro. On August 18, 1967, he married Delicia (Gonzales); together they had 2 children, Felicia and Greg, and built a wonderful life in Bryan, Texas.
Angel passed away peacefully on Monday morning September 15, 2025, in his home surrounded by family in Round Rock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reynaldo Castro Sr.; his mother, Francisca Castro; his brothers, Reynaldo Castro, Jr. and Joaquin (James) Castro; nephews, Louis Garcia and Jeremy Rodriguez and niece, Sarah-Frances Hernandez.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Delicia Castro; daughter Felicia (& Paul) Barron; son Greg Castro; grandchildren, Angelica Barron, Krystina (& Brandon) Wiles, Paul Barron Jr., Brandon Castro, Amber Castro and Jacquelyn Castro; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Angel is also survived by his brother Eddie (& Laura) Castro, sisters
Anita (& Roy) Garcia, Irene Castro Moreno, Stella (& Danny) Hernandez, Corina (& Juan) Cavazos, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Angel grew up in Bryan, Texas where his love of music began at a very young age. He was a pillar in the music community in Bryan, and a valued member of a number of bands: the Latinglows, The Brotherhood, and Los Momentos, just to name a few. Angel was an immensely talented saxophone player. From Tejano to oldies, his passion shined on every stage he graced. He played with a magnetic energy, filling every dance floor he played in front of.
Angel was a hardworking man who dedicated 50 years of service as an auto body repairman. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the love he poured into the lives of all who knew him. His legacy will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and the countless memories shared with family and friends.
Angel loved life. He loved music. Angel was a loving husband and supportive father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A visitation for Angel will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location, with the burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Castro, Amber Castro, Eddie Castro, Paul Barron Jr., Brandon Wiles, Hector Gonzales and Romeo Pantoja.
