I don't collect refrigerator magnets, but I have one.  It's been on the side of my refridgerator for years.  It says "Somebody in Texas loves you."  On the back is written "Ann 8/8/90"  She was a special lady and her smile will live in my heart always.

So many laughs and fond memories we shared.  From running from a workout at the gym directly to the Donut shop across the street to celebrate.  Hours we gabbed about everything under the sun, laughing the whole time.  She was a dear lady who I felt proud to call my Friend.  She will be greatly missed.

Lana, I can see Ann (we called her that) in that house in Sweetwater and laughing and either cooking, or offering someone something.  I miss Aunt Madel a lot and my Mom so much and now they will have Ann with them. You and Larry and the family are in my prayers.

Lana, I didn't know your mom, but if she is anthing like you, she was the sweetest and kindest human being alive. My prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I still miss mine and she died two years ago.

I will never be able to convey just how much Annie meant to me. I can still "feel" her warmth, laughter and grace.  I know she is in a better place, but I just want to give her a hug, feel her cool cheek against mine, see the sparkle in her eye and hear her contagious (sp?) laugh as she banters with Buck and the girls.  How lucky were we to have her in our lives?

Durham Family:  Although I never met Annie, knowing some of the family and their regard for her makes me realize what a loss this is for your family.  I know you wil have many cherished memories to keep your loved one in your heart forever and may they be of comfort to you.  You have my sympathy on your loss.

We have known Annie Durham for quite a few years.  She is one of our favorite people and always will be.  She always has a smile on her face, always has a sense of humor and always radiates love.  We were honored to be with her a few days before she passed away and we got to laugh a little, tell stories a little and love a lot.  She has a wonderful husband, Buck, and three magnificent children, Lana, Carolyn and Larry.  (well, let’s just leave it that the two daughters are magnificent).  Annie may be absent from our physical lives, but she will always be present in our thoughts and memories.  We will always remember her smile because it is so contagious.  When she smiles, you smile.  We love you Annie!

Dear Mr. Durham, Carolyn, Lana and Larry,

I have been thinking often of your family and especially Mrs. Durham since I last saw you. Mrs. Durham was such a sweet, loving woman.  I feel very blessed to have had her in my life for even such a brief time.  Since I first met her, she always had a smile and a kind word.  I looked forward to seeing her each visit, and she truly made me feel that I had chosen the right career as a nurse.  I wish I would have met her sooner and under different circumstances, but I am grateful that I was able to care for her when I did.  My thoughts are with you and yours.

To Carolyn, Larry and Lana, my sister Ann forwarded a message she had received in her network and I am glad she did so that I could tell you that I can empathize with what you are feeling because Ann and I have lost both our parents in the last five years and you never know how much you will miss them until they are gone.  Your mom was always gracious and nice to me when I know I must have been very irritating.  I have two daughters myself.
