

Arnold W. Kruemcke, Jr. of Austin, Texas, went home to his Lord and Savior on November 18th, 2021. He was born in Dime Box, Texas on February 20th, 1938 to parents Arnold W. Kruemcke, Sr. and Clara Hattie Jahne. Later the family moved to Giddings, then Port Arthur eventually settling in Austin in 1947.
Arnold went to Trinity Lutheran School, Baker Junior High, joined the Texas National Guard at the age of seventeen before graduating from McCallum High School. On April 23rd, 1960, he married his lifelong sweetheart Virginia (Horn) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Austin. In 1961, the Texas National Guard 49th Armored Division was activated due to the construction of the Berlin Wall. In 1997, Arnold retired from the University of Texas at Austin after thirty-nine years of service.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, and nephew Aaron. He is survived by his loving family: wife Virginia of sixty-one years; brother Wayne Kruemcke; son Scott Kruemcke and Patty Loutherback; daughter Kriss Wyble and husband Jeff; grandchildren Casey Kruemcke and wife Alexis , Blain Kruemcke, Hannah and Aspyn Wyble; great-granddaughter Mila Kruemcke and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Arnold loved to barbecue, play golf, travel, hunt, fish and always had the cleanest cars and best maintained yard in the neighborhood.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd at Redeemer Lutheran Church, beginning with a visitation period at 12:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. A committal service will be held at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.
